Happy Thanksgiving

This morning we finished making everyone's Christmas chains. Our Chains start on December first. Please use them as a special way to help your child count down the days until Christmas, along with their Advent Calendar that went home this week as well.

Gavin is working on his balancing act as he walks through the classroom with a key balanced on the spoon.

Nicholas was having fun making diamonds, and squares that he turned into rectangles

It has been a while but that anyone has played with the play dough but the girls enjoyed it this morning.
We stayed out of the cold this morning by playing in the gym
First we played catch with some funny animals
We worked with partners to throw the squishy animals back and forth.

Then we got out 2 different kinds of balls. Big balls that we could throw and kick and little small bouncy balls that we could chase all over.

We invited Mrs. Douglas' full day class over to have popcorn and watch a The Berenstain Bear's Thanksgiving story

We really enjoyed making our structures and are very excited to take them home!

Thanksgiving feast 2

This morning we made Christmas chains to help us count down to the birth of baby Jesus.  Our chains start on December 1st.

I printed off some Thanksgiving coloring sheets for us to enjoy before chapel and our feast.

David made a letter "T" (later Caleb turned it into a propeller)

We braved the cold and enjoyed some time running around.

We decided to go to chapel today instead of Wednesday because it worked better for our feast.
Mrs. Kuhlmann helped us make a "Thank You" card for God.

Before the feast we made some popcorn to share with our "Pilgrim and Indian" friends

The Pilgrims and Indians are ready to go
We joined together with all the classes and Mrs. Hoehner read us a story about Pete the Cat's Thanksgiving.

We enjoyed our popcorn, pumpkin dip, grapes, apples, and graham crackers.

After the feast today, everyone came into our room to play. There were so many friends in our room but we had a great time and got everything thing cleaned  up quick.

Photographer Chloe got some pictures of the boys being silly

Thansgiving Feast

We had a busy day today.

We started this morning by making Christmas Countdown chains. We had to count out 12 red and 12 green pieces of paper. Then we stapled them together into a chain.

On our way to the playground we noticed that the man hole was open by the fence.

Nathan said, "I want to be a construction worker when I am grow up, because I want to go in that hole." (I told the construction worker who was getting ready to go in and he told me that Nathan was welcome to go down instead of him.

We made popcorn for our feast. The kids loved watching it pop. It smelled so good.

We all gathered together in the Family Life Center. Mrs. Hoehner read a book while the feast was set up.

We sat together with our "Pilgrim" and "Wampanoag" friends for our feast of pumpkin cheesecake dip, graham crackers, grapes, apples, and popcorn.

After the feast we taught our friends our Thanksgiving Sign Language Song.

We also read a book that talked about a Little Pea that doesn't like to eat candy but loves his vegetables. Everyone put their finger on their nose if they liked candy.

At the end of the day we stated talking about the Christmas Story. We will continue the Christmas Story for the next few weeks adding more to it as we go.
