Polar Regions

This has been a crazy few weeks with so many kids out with sickness and weather. Hopefully we can get back to normal as we really get into our Polar Regions project.

We made snowmen with our names. We decorated them to make them look special

The girls are enjoying the new setup in the kitchen. We tried to make it round like an igloo

We went "ice skating" in the fellowship hall. We used coffee filters as our skates to  help our feet slide on the floor. We had to make sure we didn't pick up our feet or we would lose our skates. We tried skating backwards, to the side, and around objects.

We also talked about the Polar Regions today. We made lists of everything that we could think of about animals and people that live in the Arctic and Antarctica. We also read a book that told us that the North Pole is in the Arctic and the South Pole is in Antarctica.

We talked about the letter "A" and the letter "W" and practiced writing them on the table in shaving cream (sorry no pictures our hands were messy)
