Planting Seeds

We did our schedule a little different today.

We started our day with Jesus time. We learned the story of Abraham and Sarah. God promised Abraham that he would have as many children as the stars in the sky. Abraham and Sarah were unsure of God's promise because they were very old. But God kept his promise just as he keeps his promise to us.

We enjoyed our time outside in the beautiful fall morning.

Miss Kirby's class has inspired some of us to find worms.

This morning we planted some food that we will be able to watch grow. We planted carrots and leeks in a big container so we can see them grow.

We looked at the seeds to see how they were different.

In small groups students painted coffee filters that we will use to make fall leaves.

Some students also added star stickers to a large piece of paper to help remind us of the number of stars in the sky and God's promise to Abraham.

Students worked with me to plant their own food to watch grow. We planted lettuce seeds in a small containers for each student to take care of.

We had a surprise Fire Drill today with the fireman. We all did a great job of lining up and getting out of the classroom without getting scared

Since we cut our free play short earlier in the morning we had free play time before getting ready for lunch.
