Happy Halloween

Free Playtime
working together

We had lots of fun with the Legos. Mrs. Helmkamp even built a few funny things.

Outside it was very windy but we had fun running in the wind

In small groups we painted Jack-o-lantern faces (some didn't quite get the concept but still had fun painting)

We played with Flubber that we made as a large group. 4 ingredients: water, glue, Borax, and food coloring. It is fun to watch it stretch

We also colored Halloween pictures

We drew pictures of our Halloween costumes on black paper with oil pastels. We are very excited for Halloween.

In Jesus time Mrs. Lind read our story about Baby Moses and then Mrs. Helmkamp played a game to see how much we remembered about Moses. We have learned this story very well!

Weaving

Free play time
The writing center was hopping today.

Outside play

They would roll the hula hoop down the hill and one person would try to catch it as the others cheered.

As a large group today we tried to weave a basket for Baby Moses. It was a little difficult for many of them. We will do more weaving activities in the future to improve our skills.

In our small groups we did some group weaving. Each student got to weave 2 pieces of ribbon into our art piece.

We hid Baby Moses in the river to keep him safe from the mean Pharaoh.

We practiced glueing the letters of our name in order. Some students were able to do it much faster than yesterday!

We made Jack-o-lanterns from paper
