Preparing for Lutheran Schools Week

Next week is one of my most favorite times of the school year, it is time for us to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week. I love this because of all of the fun and exciting things we get to do as a whole school.

To get us ready for Lutheran Schools Week we made some fun artwork that will be displayed in the church Welcome Center. Please make sure you stop by on Sunday or sometime next week to check it out.

To make this fun art project we practiced using scissors to cut the tape. Then we had to use lots of fine motor skills to put the colorful dot stickers on each square.

Hang paw prints in the main school building to show what we like about Zion

We have also decided to do a special music/picture/video project. We read the book Today is Monday by Eric Carle. The book is based on a song called "Today is Monday." We have decided that we want to create our own pictures and sing the song to make a video of the book. I am very excited to work on this project with the kids and I can't wait to share our final product.
