The students worked with their wood pieces copying the letter I made on the SMARTboard. They we figured out which students in the class had names that started with that letter.
On Wednesday the gym we did a bit of an obstacle course.

We worked on balance.

We also got to jump. On Tuesday this week we will have another obstacle course.

On Wednesday we practiced making letters in shaving cream.
We also used shaving cream to paint snowmen.
The exploration table is filled with Arctic and Antarctic animals as well as objects to make a winter scene.

Meow!

We added a puppet theater. We are starting to get the idea of how to put on a performance but we are learning how to have the puppets tell a story.

We realized that we didn't have many puppets to use so we started making our own.

We are also enjoying writing and drawing on the whiteboard.

The girls made a house in the block center

Attention all Preschool Dads…

Zion Lutheran Parent Teacher League (PTL) is hosting an event for you!!

Donuts for Dads is on January 18th  from 7:00 a.m.-7:55 a.m. in the school gym (located in the main school building).  Come spend time with your child(ren) while eating some delicious breakfast goodies.  It is an open house format, so come when you like.   You do not need to RSVP in order to attend this event.

If you need to leave to get to work, the Early Room will be open in the Sonshine Center starting at 7 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. for all Early Childhood students.  The Preschool classrooms will open up at 7:45 a.m.  If your child is attending school on Wednesday, please bring your child down to the Sonshine Center.   You may choose to leave at this point, or you are invited to stay and attend chapel with your child.   At 8:10, the Preschool classes will walk up to chapel, and you may sit and worship with your child.  After chapel is over, the Preschool classes will go back to the classroom and that will be when you will leave your child in the care of his/her teacher.

If your child is not in school on Wednesday, we would still love for you to come for breakfast and also the chapel service.  After enjoying the time with your child(ren) in the gym eating breakfast, you may leave or you can walk over to Zion’s church and attend worship with the rest of the classes.  After worship is over, you and your child can leave.

This is a family event, so please feel free to bring siblings.  If you have any questions, you can talk to your child’s classroom teacher or to me.   I hope that you are able to attend.

                                                                                                In Christ,
                                                                                                Sara Kuhlmann
