Many of the students had a lot of fun this week looking through the ballots and graphing the results. They would get excited when they found a vote that was the same as theirs.
Here you can see the final results:
We also had a great time at our Valentine's Day parties. Thank you again to the moms who dedicated so much time to making our parties this year so great! Especially Andrea Weist, Andrea Van Bree, and Michelle Linneman.
We have also been trying to find new things to do in our classroom since we haven't been able to go outside, so this week we made flubber on Wednesday after nap. We have enjoyed playing with it, cutting into pieces, and watching how it stretches
Notes going Home this Week!
There was a lot of stuff that went home this week in your child's folder. Please look for the following:
1. Lutheran Schools Week Information
2.Grandparents Day Information
3. Spring Pictures Flier
4. Yearbook Sales Flier
Spring Pictures will be taken on Tuesday of next week. Every child who is at school will get their picture taken and the proofs will be sent home. It is your choice whether or not you order. If your child does not attend school on Tuesday, you are welcome to bring your child in to get their picture taken, anytime from 8:30-11 AM. Pictures will be taken in the Church basement.
Zion Open House is this Sunday from 1-3 PM. Please feel free to come in and learn more about Zion or invite your neighbors, friends, or family. Zion is a great place to be and the Open House is a great opportunity to introduce new families to our school.
Book Orders You have until Monday to place book orders for February. Remember that book orders are placed online at www.scholastic.com/parentordering Our class activation code is GPGJT.
Mrs. Helmkamp will be out of the classroom on Tuesday and Wednesday at METC (Midwest Education Technology Conference). Mrs. Thaemert will be subbing for me. She has subbed in our classroom before. I will still be checking my email if you have any questions or concerns.
Auction Round-Up Please don't forget to donate in items for our annual school auction. When students bring in items for the auction, they will be able to vote for the teacher that they would like to see dress up like Scooby-Doo. The auction supports the school by giving the PTL money to spend on things for the school. In the past the auction has supported air conditioning in the gym and SMARTboards in the classrooms.
