Weekly Update

Things we did this week:
Self portraits
Cutting and Glueing Artwork
Point and Scribble Fireworks- (Handwriting Without Tears)
Creation Book- Day 1 and Day 2

Jesus Time: For the next three weeks we will be learning about Creation. This week we talked about God creating the dark and light on the first day and the sky and water on the second day.

Important Information:

• Our new cot sheets came in this week. Everyone should have a white sheet with elastic corners. Please make sure you wash this sheet every week and send it back with your child's other nap stuff
• Highlights Magazine- You received a yellow slip of paper in your child's folder. Please fill it out as desired and send it back to school next week. We can get free stuff for our classroom, even if you sign and mark "NO"
• Scholastic Book Orders- Please see the previous post about book orders. All book orders will be done online. Book Orders are Due September 6th
• Family Picture- If you did not receive a picture frame please let me know so that we can send one home. Please return decorated frames with a family picture soon so that I can finish making "Our Family Tree"

Exciting News- We just got out new iPod for the classroom. I am very excited because it will allow me to keep you more updated on what is going on in our classroom. I have started a Twitter account for our classrooms. If you follow it you can receive updates throughout the day.

First week

 The first week of school is over. We had a really great week.

I am only going to post a few pictures this week because the office has been unable to go through all off the photo release papers. By next week I hope to post some pictures everyday.

We are quickly learning the routine.

We had fun painting some artwork that will be hung up with our family pictures to create "Our Family Tree."

We also made our first entries in our portfolios, "My First Day of Preschool."

• Back to School Night on Tuesday is not for preschool
• Fundraiser packets for the schools fall fundraiser went home on Friday and some the beginning of next week for some
• Don't forget to bring in a 4x6 family picture and your decorated frame
